Failed to upgrade application settings. Root element is missing

If you get an error “Failed to upgrade application settings. Root element is missing.”, the user.config file may be corrupt. A generic one is attached. Stop the Verex-ID Sentinel Service and replace the attached file in the directory specified in the error pop up. Then restart the Verex-ID service.
